Start Screen Unlimited

Start Screen Unlimited integrates with the Start Screen introduced by Microsoft with Windows 8. Start Screen Unlimited, a floating window that can be placed anywhere on the Start Screen, displays several useful gadgets: hibernate, sleep, reboot, power off the PC; access the Control Panel; initiate a Google search; view the time and date.

To get Start Screen Unlimited up and running you must perform the following: download an archive, extract its contents, run the setup executable, follow the instructions presented by a setup wizard. When you’re done with the installation process and you launch Start Screen Unlimited for the first time, you will be presented with a Welcome prompt that presents all the buttons on the interface.

The Start Screen Unlimited interface is a floating window that can be placed anywhere on the Start Screen. The following elements are displayed on the application’s interface:
Power - hibernate, sleep, reboot, power off the PC.
System - access the Control Panel, quit Start Screen Unlimited.
Help – provide feedback, upgrade to the Deluxe version, check for updates, open the About menu.
Search – search for things on Google.
Clock – view the current time and date.

Start Screen Unlimited is available as a Lite and as a Deluxe version.
